For 18 years, the Community Foundation for Muskegon County has presented the annual Patricia B. Johnson Community Leadership Award to recognize a dynamic individual, couple, or organization with visionary leadership and a strong spirit of innovation.
We're glad to announce that this spring, we've granted a total of $551,328 to community organizations in Muskegon County, with an emphasis on youth development, the arts, and sustainability.
The Community Foundation for Muskegon County has recently been re-accredited by National Standards for U.S. Community Foundations®—the highest standards for philanthropic excellence.
A second round of grants, supported by funding from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund, has recently been awarded to improve access to healthy food in our community.
The Board of Trustees recently approved $106,895 in grant awards to a variety of community organizations in support of projects throughout Muskegon County.
Grant proposals that increase healthy eating and improve access to healthy foods are sought by the Foundation.

The Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation for Muskegon County (CFMC) recently approved $16,000 in grant awards for the second year of a competitive grant program designed to foster excellent relationships between law enforcement officials and members of the community.
A $315,000 grant from the Michigan Health Endowment Fund will support initiatives across Muskegon, Oceana, Mason and Manistee Counties that will improve access to healthy food for children and seniors.
