If you’re an adult interested in continuing your education, the
Community Foundation for Muskegon County may have a scholarship for you.
Overview
Eligibility and Criteria
To be eligible, applicants must:
- live and work in Muskegon County
- have not obtained a bachelor’s (or higher level) degree
Adult students are often (but not always) prospective undergraduate students who are 25 years of age or older and may also have other identifying criteria, such as:
- full-time employment
- parenthood
- care of elderly parents
- or prior military service
We do not currently have the resources to support those pursuing education beyond a bachelor’s degree.
Michigan Reconnect
Applicants should expect to hear from the Community Foundation within 45 days of submitting their application. Before you apply, follow the link below to review the Michigan Reconnect Program’s website to see if you qualify for their scholarship.
The Process
Scholarship Portal
Submit the online application using our online Scholarship Portal.
School Transcript or GED
Upload or request a transcript or GED be sent to the Foundation.
Fill Out Your FAFSA
Upload or provide a FAFSA Submission Summary* (FSS), provided you can complete your FAFSA. We make accommodations for those who cannot complete a FAFSA.
