William & Clara Lang Fund From her 100-yard walk to a one-room schoolhouse to traveling the world, Clara Lang was a lifelong advocate for education and literacy. With multiple degrees in education, Clara sought cultural experiences as an educator with the Department of Defense. Her years in Muskegon County with her family were marked by hospitality and service. She was known for inviting people to an excellent meal or to join her on a board or committee. She and her husband, Bill, started their Donor Advised Fund in 1996 and used it to support their favorite local causes. Last summer, Clara recommended an important grant from her fund to support the Welcome Home scholarship. After she passed, a gift from her IRA solidified their legacy as advocates for education in Muskegon County.
