Welcome New Trustees

 

Deidre (Dee) Briegel

A native and resident of Whitehall, Dee is a second-generation owner/operator of Pitkin Drug & Gift Shoppe. Dee is a pharmacist and has been an integral part of the family business since 1975. An active community member, Dee has served as president of the White Lake Fund of the Community Foundation, founder of the White Lake Area Women Making A Difference, and held various positions on the board of the White Lake Chamber of Commerce. Dee was awarded Young Pharmacist of the Year by the Michigan Pharmacists Association and has been an instrumental contributor to the West Michigan Pharmacists Association, The United Way Lakeshore (White Lake & Muskegon), Friends of the (White Lake) Playhouse, and Evangelical Covenant Church, among many others. We’re happy to have Dee join our Trustees on our Board of Directors and serve as a member of our Frauenthal Committee.

 

Jane Otrhalek

A resident of Muskegon, Jane is a retired health administrator having spent more than 36 years in healthcare, most recently as Cardiopulmonary and Neuro-Diagnostics Director at Trinity Health Muskegon. An active philanthropist and Ambassador of the Community Foundation, and Jane and her spouse of 28 years, Tonya Rund, created the LOVE IS LOVE LGBTQ+ Fund in 2019. We’re happy to have Jane join our Board of Directors as a Trustee and a member of our Finance Committee.

 

 

Dwight Vines

Dwight has been an active leader in the Muskegon Community for decades. A Muskegon Heights graduate, he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree from Michigan State University. His long list of leadership and achievement includes: the Muskegon Heights Board of Education, the Board of Directors for Muskegon Hearing and Speech, United Way, Urban League of Greater Muskegon, Iota Phi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity of Muskegon, Muskegon Rotary Club, Manufacturing Representative for United Way 2012 Campaign, and Table Captain for Red Cross “Change a Life Breakfast 2013. Dwight also received the “Love in Action” award in 2013. He currently serves as President of the Muskegon Area Intermediate School District Board of Education and as the Process Control Manager for Sun Chemical Corporation where he has worked for 41 years. We’re fortunate to have Dwight as a Trustee on our Board of Directors and a member of our Distribution Committee.
