Support What You Love

After traveling the world as a flight attendant, Dorothy Wilson returned to North Muskegon, the place she called home.

Seeing the value in high-quality education, she used her QCD (Qualified Charitable Distributions) from her IRAs to build up the Norse Education Fund. Upon her passing, the majority of her estate now supports the schools and community she loved.

In honor of Dorothy’s birthday, the Norse Education Foundation will honor her legacy by investing $50 in each North Muskegon 1st – 5th grade KICKSTART TO CAREER a children’s savings account program designed to give students an early boost toward a great career.

Thank you to Dorothy and the Norse Education Foundation for investing in the future of our community!

At the Community Foundation, we believe ALL kids in Muskegon County have a bright future, which is why all Kindergarten –5th grade students county-wide have a KickStart to Career Account.
